Manang Marsyangdi Club successfully defended their Safafl Pokhara Cup title after beating Three Star Club 2-1 in the final.
Three Star Club took the lead in the 37th minute through skipper Santosh Sahukhalavto give edge to Lalitpur outfit in the final. Sahukhala scored from the freekick which was awarded for a foul on Jagjeet Shrestha by Sagar Thapa. But MMC´s Sujal Shrestha pulled back equlizer just 2 minutes before the break. Sujal scored the goal from penalty which was awarded to MMC after Three Star's defender Bikram Lama handled the ball in the D-area. The second half of the match saw no more goal as the match went to extra time.
MMC's Bishal Rai netted the decisive and title winning goal in the 12th minute of extra 20-minute after the normal time ended. MMC will be now celebrating Deepawali with the title and cash prize of Rs 355,000. Runners-up Three Star Club took home Rs 201,000.

All the winners received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 each.
Safal Pokhara Cup 2070: Three Star wins against Hongkong Federation 2-1 and book a place in the final
Three Star sealed a place in the final of the Safal Pokhara cup 2070 at the expense of hongkong Nepalese Federation as they won the second semifinal match 2-1.
Hongkong Nepalese Federation took the early lead through African recruit Victor in the 7th minute of the match courtesy of penalty kick. Three Star Club slowly came back in the match but failed to score anymore goals in the first half of the match.
The second half of the match saw Three Star more inspired to score goal as Prakash Budhathoki scored equalizer in the 58th minute of the match. Bikram Lama provided with an assist for Prakash's goal. Dodoz scored second and the final goal of the match off a cross from Sabindra Shrestha in the 68th minute of the match. As there were no more goals in the match Three Star won the match 2-1.
MMC put its foot in the final of Safal Pokhara Cup 2070 after beating Nepal Army 2-1 in the first semifinal.
MMC one of the favourite for the title took an early lead in the 13th minute through Deepak Rai who scored from a cross by skipper Sagaar Thapa. Nepal Army pulled the leveller in the 34th minute of the match through Raju Tamang. Raju Tamang converted the goal from penalty which was awarded for a foul on Bharat Khawas by MMC defender. The first half of the match remained 1-1.
The second half of the match failed to produced more goals until the few minutes left in the clock. Substitute Bishal Rai scored the winner for MMC which was enough to book a place in the final. MMC will now meet the winner between Three Star Club and Hongkong Nepalese Federation.
Hongkong Federation beacame the last team to book a semifinal berth after beating CFC Bhutan 2-0 in the fourth and final quarterfinal match at the Pokhara Stadium of the Safal Pokhara Cup 2070.
CFC Bhutan started the match brighlty as they got a brilliant opportunity to take the lead in the 4th minute of the match as Cyril Rai's header was cleared off the goal line by Hongkong defender. On the other hand Hongkond too had their chances on goal but failed to score any in the first half as the first half finished goalless.
The second half of the match saw the goal drought end as Suraj Raut and Victor scored a goal each for Hongkond Federation. Suraj Raut pounched on Bhutan CFC's goalie's fumble off a corner to give 1-0 lead. Victor added another late in the injury time added with a solo effort taking ball all the way from midhalf to seal 2-0 win for Hongkong Federation.
Three Star Club booked their place in the semifinal of the Safal Pokhara Cup 2070 after beating host Pokhara XI team in a tight contest. Three Star won the match 4-3 in penalties. The normal time of the match finished 1-1 with extra time providing no any goals.
The first half of the match provided no goals as the tight contested battle had both teams trying their best but with no success. The half time score read 0-0 as both teams went into the break unable to break the duck.
But in the second half, Three Star came with flying colours as Dodoz scored early on for Three Star with a wonderful shot from far out just after the break stunning the home crowd. Ashim Jung Karki scored equalizer for host Pokhara XI in the 71st minute of the match. as the normal time of the match finished in a 1-1 draw.
Santosh Sahukhala, Bikram Lama, Sabindra Shrestha and Leonce Dodoz converted their penalties in the shootout for Three Star Club.Biraj Maharjan couldnlt convert his spotkick. Ashim Jung Karki, Adejola Jacob and Bhupal Gurung scored for Pokhara XI while Sunil BK and Kumar Gurung missed their kick.
