AFC Challenge Cup 2012

Nepal conceded first goal of this tournament within five minutes and haven't scored a single goal within next two matches so far. Nepal's chances to qualify for semis were vained when Nepal lost their second match against Maldives. What ever be the results, Nepal is already out of the tournament and their final match will only be a formality.

There is nothing more to play for than PRIDE!!!

Nepal will play their final match against Turkmenistan who lead the group against challenging Palestine and Maldives. Nepal's sloppy goals cost them an exit but they can still show what they are capable of. Final match to play for, Nepal do not have any thing to win in this tournament but they can do a favour on their way out for Maldives if they can defeat their competitors.

This match has a significance that Nepal has to win back their support and FAITH from their supporters. Altogether this will be the opportunity for Graham Roberts and his team to regain form and recuperate from their two back to back setbacks. But Nepalese fans should not forget the achievements made by Nepalese team before this tournament.

Under Graham Roberts, Nepal reached second round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers for the first time in the history. On the other side, Nepal's FIFA Rankings has improved a lot. Also Nepal reached the semi final of SAFF Championships last year. We have seen sparks during this tournament but few slips and unconverted chances let the team down. Its time to rejuvenate and its time to be Phoenix.
