Nepal finished its Nehru Cup 2012 campaign without winning any matches after it lost to Syria 2-0 in its final match. Nepal just got a point after drawing with India and finished at the bottom of the table.
In the match, Syria was the more dominant team and they took the lead in 8th minute of the match. Hani Al Tair scored for Syria after Nepalese defender failed to close him down inside the D-box. The ball possession was dominated by Syria but the scoreline just remained the same till half time.
The second half started with Syrian in the attack and they got rewarded in the 49th minute of the match. Ali Ghalioum scored for Syria after receiving a nice through ball from the middle of the park. Nepal managed to increase their ball possession thereafter but failed to convert in goal. As the final whistle blew Syrian team managed to restore some pride after winning against Nepal.
Nepal has been on learning curve for the past couple of matches. But its matches in Nehru Cup 2012 showed that it hasn't learnt any lesson.
