Nepal will play its final Nehru Cup 2012 match against Syria. This match will be just a mere formality as both teams have alreay crashed out of the tournament. Both the teams want to regain some pride by winning this match. The loser will be lying bottom of the table.
Syria and Nepal have met only once before in a competitive match and that was a long time ago which the Syrian team won.
Nepal looks finally back on its track after showing some promising display in its last match against India. Nepal will be without Bikash Chettri who received a red card against India. Kiran Chemjong looked solid at the goalline as he produced a man of the match performance against India. Skipper Sagar Thapa and Co looked solid at the back. The forward line still seems to be problematic but again Jumanu can produce a magic moment at any time.
On the other hand Syria played brilliantly throughout the Nehru Cup 2012 but for a losing cause. Syrian team's performance rest on Oday Jaffal and Alaa Alshbli.They will have a little bit of low on morale as they are still winless after showing some good performance.
This will be match which has no any significant other then salvaging some pride for their respective nation. Nepal finally looks to show some glimpse of their game they are known to have while Syrian team will be cursing their luck after conceding a goal late in the game against Maldives.
