Nepal is only mathmatically still in the Nehru Cup 2012 as they were completely overshadowed by their two opponents so far in the tournament. Nepal needs to be at their best in order to beat the host and keep its hope alive in the tournament. On the other hand a win will provide India a berth in the final as they will have full 9 points from 3 matches.
There has been no any competitive matches between the neighbours of late. But overall head to head meetings between the two favors India.
One of the strong points under former coach Graham Roberts was the disciplined defense which Nepal has been lagging in this tournament. Ritesh Thapa looked poor while his deputy goalie also looked rusty. It's high time Kiran grabs the gloves. The midfielders of Nepal looked poor in their both matches and needs to show what they are capable of if they want any repise from this match. As always the offensive burden lies on Jumanu Rai and company.
India has been flying high as they are the only team with perfect record so far in the tournament. Sunil Chettri is on full form as he has already grabbed 3 goals in 2 matches. Syed Nabi is also another dangerman who builds attack from the back. A rock solid defense will be hard to penetrate especially for Nepalese forwards.
Host India looks to be in full form while Nepal are completely out of form in this Nehruc CUp 2012. Every Nepalese wants to support Nepal and dreams of them winning this match but on their recent form it's very hard for Nepal to get something out of this match.Nepalifootball.com predicts a draw as Nepal will be playing for pride.
