26 August, 2012

nehru cup logoNepal will play its second match in the ongoing Nehru Cup 2012 today against the heavy favourties Cameroon. Nepal will need to improve its performances sharply in order to get something out of this match. This is the first time Nepal will play against Cameroon in competitive matches.

Nepalese coach Krishna Thapa needed to make his tactics spot on as there is only way to survive in the tournament is to get soemthing out of this match. His squad selection needs to be better as some of the players didn't played to till potential and those warming the bench may get nod. Jumanu Rai one of the most prolific scorer may get a starting berth after his goal against Maldives. Goalie Ritesh Thapa looked sloppy and he may alter him as well. Bhola Silwal, Sandeep Rai and Santosh Sahukhala looked decent but they need to perform better against Cameroon.

On the other hand, some of the Cameroon players looked sharp while they also lacked occasional focus in their first match against Syria. Ebanga Bertin, Kolongy Mertin, Ouslima baba and Kingue Mpondo are key to offensive play. They have some problems in decent as they conceded 2 goals in their first match but that will not be problem as their offense have very strong chance of scoring.

Final Verdict:

Cameroon team looks a little bit favourite on this match. Nepalese players need to give all they could in order to gain something and be still in the predicts a Cameroon win. But there is chance that Nepal can get a point if they find their regular rhythm.

Cameroon 1 - 0 Nepal
