Nepal dismal showing continued in the AFC U19 qualifiers as it went down against host Qatar 2-0. Nepal played second fiddle from the start of the match till the end but performed a good fight in defense as it held Qatar for a goalless tie for 45 minutes of the match. Although it was one sided attacking game as nepal relied on defending without ever scaring Qatari defense.
Nassar Al-Nasr finally scored from free-kick for Qatar in the 57th minute of the match as their continuous attack were paid off. Nepali defender had fouled Qatari attacker just outside the D-box as Qatar were awarded freekick. Qatar scored their second in the 72nd minute of the match. Husam Kamal Hassanin got his name in the score-sheet with an easy goal. Nepal on the other hand even failed to had any shots in goal. Had it not been Nepali goalie Alan Neupane, the scoreline margin would have been far greater.
In another match played today, Uzbekistan beat India 3-0.
