AFC U19 Qualifiers: Nepal loses out to Turkmenistan after playing with 10 men

u19 teamNepal were unlucky to be beaten by Turkmenistan in the very first match of the AFC U19 qualifiers played at Doha, Qatar. Nepal got an early lead in the 16th minute of the match through forward Asim Jung Khadka. But Nepal couldn't play to their full potential as Bibek Pratap Rana received red card in the 32nd minute of the match as he gathered two yellow card in quick succession. He received his first yellow card in the 26th minute and second yellow in 32nd minute which proved to be the game changer in the match.

Despite playing with 10 men Nepal held Turkemenistan from scoring as they went to the half time break with 1-0 lead.  But it took no time in second half for Turkmenistan to equalize. Berenov Elyasberdi scored from a spot-kick after Sulav Maskey fouled Turkmenistan forward inside penalty area. Kovusov Didargeldi finally put Turkemenistan in the lead in the 79th minute of the match after putting 10 men Nepal in backfoot for quite time and they went on to win the match 2-1.

In another match Qatar got the better of India as they won the match 2-0. Kram Hassan Afifscored in the 61st minute of the match while Husam Kamal Hassan Hassani  scored in the 89th minute of the match
