AFC President Cup 2013: Three Star Club shows poor performance against Balkan FC as they lost the match 6-0

kiran chemjongNepal league champions Three Star Club succomed to Turkmenistan champion Balkan FC in their first match of the AFC President's Cup Group A match. Balkan FC won the match 6-0 easily.

There was much hope and anticipation of all Nepali football fans for the success of Three Star Club here in Nepal. But to the dismay of supporters Three Star players gave up the match easily to Balkan FC. Tkachenko Yevgeny opened the score the for Balkan in the 22nd minute of the match. Skipper Karadanov Mamedaly doubled the lead 2 minutes later. The first half of the match finished 2-0 in favor of Balkan FC.

Balkan FC showed their class as Three Star Club looked out of focus from the match. Balkan FC scored their 3rd goal of the match in the 59th minute of the match throgun Saparov Mekan. Shermatov Rahmet scored the team's fourth in the 63rd minute of the match. Gurban Ahmit slotted home penalty in the 78th minute of the match to make the score line 5-0 in their favor. Chonkayev Gahryman finally sealed the victory in the 87th minute by slotting home it's 6th goal of the match. Balkan FC won the match 6-0 in an emphatic fashion.

In another match fo the Group B, KRL won a tight encounter 1-0 against Dordoi Bishkek. Kaleemullah scored the only goal of the match to give all 3 points for KRL.

AFC President Cup 2013: Three Star Club head towards Malaysia to participate in the final round

three star championsLeague champions Three Star Club is heading towards Malaysia to participate in the final round of the AFC President Cup 2013. Three STar Club had qualified for the AFC Presedent Cup after playing qualifiers earlier in Nepal itself.

Three Star has previously reached semi-final stage of the tournament and this is the second time it is taking part in the competition. A total of 33 memebers team (20 players and 2 caoches) is heading for Malaysia. Even though It's just a Club taking part in the competiton but whole of the Nepali football lovers are waiting anxiously to hear the glory news of Three Star coming back as champions.

Three Star had very little time for prepartion for the tournament as 8 of its players were member of the recent SAFF Championship. But they will be facing a familiar opponents in Erchim FC (Mongolia) whom they beat 2-0 in the qualifiers alongside Balkan FC (Turkmenistan).
