RCT wins against Desh Bhakta Yuba Club 5 - 0 and Three Star Club wins 2 - 1 against APF club in Gurkha Cup 2070
In the first match played at the ongoing Gurkha Cup 2070, Rani Pokhari Corner Team thrased visitors Desh Bhakta Club 5 - 0. Suman Lama scored a hat-trick for the winning side. He scored in 46' 65' 68' to complete his hat-trick. Desh Bhakta Club were never in the game. Roshan Lamichane 78' and Pradip Malla 84' added more to the woes of the visitors. It seemed liked they were playing for the pride.
In the second match played between Three Star Club and APF Club, Three Star Club ensured they won the Group. Three Star came back from a goal down to win the game. Earlier, APF captain Ganesh Lawati 9' had given the lead to the departmental side. The league title holders had to toil hard to grind the result. Bijay Gurung scored in the 79' to level the match and new-comer Dodoz scored in the 84' to break the heart of the departmental side, who had played outstandingly. The lost for APF knocked them out of the tournament.
Three Star and RCT went through this Group B as winners and runners-up to the knockout round.
Machindra tops Group A, NPC follows into the quarterfinals of Gurkha Cup
Defending champion of Gurkha Cup, Nepal Police Club has reached the quarterfinals of the Gurkha Cup 2070 after playing a draw with Saraswoti youth Club. The match finished 1-1.
NPC needed just a single point from the match to ensure their passage to the quarterfinals of the Gurkha Cup. Hem Tamang scored the first goal off a rebound in the match in the 49th minute as Nepal Police Club took the lead in the match. Saraswoti's Tanka Lama scored the equalizer off a header after his team mate's shot was rebounded. But it was enough to seal the passage for NPC in the knock-out phase. NPC now has 4 points in the Group and finished second position behind Machindra Club.
Machindra Club in the meanwhile finished as Group winners as they finished their Group campaign in the Gurkha Cup with a victory over Mofusil team Munal Club 2-1. Munal Club's defender Prem Limbu conceded an own goal in the 15th minute of the match against Machhindra Club.Sarvottam Tuladhar added Machindra's second as he doubled the lead in the 70th minute of the match. Dinesh Karki scored a consolation goal for Munal Club in the 79th minute from a cross provided by Indra Limbu.Machindra finished the Group with a perfect record of 3 wins form 3 matches with 9 points.
Boys Union and Friends Club emerged victorious
Newcomers Boys Union Club managed to get the better of Jawalakhel Youth Club in today’s round of matches of the Gurkha Cup 2070 as they beat them 3-2 in a tight encounter.
Umesh Thapa gave JYC early lead in the match as he scored in the 18th minute of the match off a rebound. Ashiq Thapa pulled one back for Boys Union Club in the 26th minute of the match. Binod Lama scored two minutes later to give Boys Union Club a single goal lead in the match. Pradeep Maharjan pulled an equalizer for JYC in the 34th minute of the match. The first half of the match finished 2-2. Asim Jung Karki finally sealed the victory in favour of Boys Union Club in the Gurkha Cup in the 84th minute of the match. This win gave them 3 points as they still have a chance to make it to the next round.
In another match played today, Friends Club won 2-0 against Himalayan Sherpa Club in the Group D of the Gurkha Cup 2070. Ritesh Malla scored in the 26th minute of the match to give Friends Club lead in the match. Despite Himalayan Sherpa effort to get something from the match it was Friends Club who had the final say in the match as Bishnu KC sealed the win in the 90th minute of the match.
All the teams in this group D now has 3 point each and the final round of matches will provide a crucial decider who makes it to the next round.

Three Star Club and Armed Police Force Club wins in Group B of Gurkha Cup 2070
Newly arrived trio scores for the current Martyr's Memorial League Three Star Club in the resounding win against fellow A Division rivals Rani Pokhari Corner Team (RCT).Trio of Prakash Budhatholi 6', Dodoz 64' and Jagjeet Shrestha 49' ensured a great win in the ongoing Gurkha Cup.RCT's Suman Lama had equalised in the 20' after Prakash Budhathoki had given Three Star the lead. But, the RCT's challenge faded away as Captain Santosh Shahukhal scored 3mintue later to make 2 - 1. National Team full-back Biraj Maharjan scored in the 30' to take the score to 3 - 1. Two goals by Dodoz and Jagjeet sealed the win for the Three STar Club.
In the first match of the game between Armed Police Force club won empathically against Desh Bhakta Club. APF's Rajendra Rawal scored five goals in a single game to record a history in the Nepalese football. His goal came about in 14', 26', 43', 52' and 58'. APF's Sudip Sikhrakar 33', Nabin Lama 65', Jangbu Sherpa 67' and Captain Ganesh Lawati scored for the winning side. Lone goal by Asish Shakya in the 62' minute gave some cheers to the deflated side.

Nepal Army and Manang Marshyangdi marches on to the next round with empathic victory
In the first match played here at the rain soaked afternoon, Nepal Army Club thrashed Gurkha Cup debutant Tushal Youth Club 6 - 0. Naresh Meche completed a hat-trick for the departmental side. He completed his hat-trick in 16 minutes 32', 37' and 48'. Earlier, Kashi Raj Karki had given the lead in 16'. Midfielder Tek Budhathoki made the tally to 2 - 0 in 19' and the devastating hat-trick by Naresh Meche made the score 5 - 0 in the first half's end. The game was heading towards a high scoring as in the previous game of the tournament, but a resounding defensive display by the losing side let only a solitary goal by Army's Jitendra Karki in 81' to limit the damage to just 6 goals.
In the second game of the ongoing Gurkha Cup 2070, league runners-up Manang Marshyangdi defeated fellow Martyr's Memorial A division league club Sankata Club 5 - 1. Captain Anil Gurung scored a brace in the win. Former Nepal U-21 player Sujal Shrestha scored in 24' to give the lead to the winner. Rupesh KC added his first and Manang Marsyangdi's second to make the score 2 - 0. Then Sujal Shrestha added his second in 72' to make it 3- 0. Captain Anil Gurung scored a minute later to make it 4 - 0. But, Rajiv Gurung's 79' goal for Sankata Club gave some respite to the eventual losers. Anil Gurung then scored his second in the additional time to finish the game with score 2 - 0.
