Ncell 15th National Women's Tournament got concluded yesterday as Nepal Police Club (NPC) defeated arch rivals and defending chapions Armed Police Force (APF) team 1-0 in the final to take home the trophy. NPC also won the cash prize of Rs 300,000 while APF took home Rs 150,000.
APF lost the match through own goal from its own player Sajana Rana in the 84th minute of the match. Sajana got the goal while trying to clear a corner kick from NPC's Yasoda Lama which unfortunately got into their own net. APF had better chance in the match but resolute NPC players held on to their nerves to win the trophy.
In the meanwhile Nepal Army Women's Team and Kailali Women's Team who reached the semifinals of the tournament also received a cash pri\e of Rs 50,000 each. Likewise the following players were awarded individual prize in different categories:
Best Goalkeeper: Namita Dali (NPC)
Best Defender: Ghim KumariGurung (NPC)
Best Midfielder: Renuka Nagarkoti (APF)
Best Forward: Niru Thapa (NPC)
Best Coach: sandesh Shrestha (NPC)
Best Player of the Tournament: Sajana Rana (APF)
All the players received a cash prize of Rs 25,000 each while Best Player of the Tournament received a scooter as a prize.
