The All Nepal Football Association disciplinary committee headed by Mahesh Bista has decided to suspend three players and three officials of the Buddha Air Morang Football Club from all football related activities for manhandling match officials in their home match against Ruslan Three Star Club in Laxmi Marga, Dangi Hath, on Thursday.
The three players – Tek Bahadur Limbu (Jersey No. 10), Surendra Thapa (Jersey No. 21), Sunil Khadka (Jersey No. 26) – have been suspended from for 18 months starting today, while Morang officials – Parash Chaudhary (Team Coach) and Chuman Basnet (Team Manager) have been suspended for 1 year.
Likewise, team's assistant coach Manish Timilsina has been suspended for 2 years while the team has been fined NRs. 50,000 [Fifty Thousand].
The disciplinary committee's decision is based on the tournament regulation's section 2 (Disciplinary Law and Procedure – Rule No. 20, Sub rule No. 5)
According to reports produced by the match commissioner, referee assessor, the referee in charge and the doctor, referee Sudish Pandey and the assistant referees -- Madhav KC and Bikram Chaudhary -- were manhandled and verbally abused by the three aforementioned players and the three said officials. Their behaviour also provoked the home crowd.
