Three Star Club has a final hiccup on the day they were crowned Champions as they lose out to Nepal Army Club 3 – 2
Three Star Club’s Captain Santosh Shahukahala’s brace wasn’t enough to make sure there was all smiles on the final day of the A Division League 2069. With having already crowned the Champions Three Star fielding a make-shift team didn’t start well and Nepal Army Club were starting to get into the game. A beautiful cross from the left-flank by Bharat Khawas ended on the path of Santosh Nepali
who prodded it to the back of the net in the 38th minute. It gave much needed relief for the Nepal Army side who were gunning for the third place. But Captain Santosh Shahukala scored his first goal from a header to give parity to the side in the 50th minute. But, the equaliser made Army men to even prode forward and it was evident that they would get their second. And on 73rd minute Tek Bahadur Budathoki placed it to the corner of the net to give Army men the lead. But, Santosh shahukala’s brilliant free-kick from 30 yards in the 87th gave the Three Star the equaliser late into the game. But, it was the Army men’s day as their charismatic man Bharat Khawas noded in the winner of the game 3minute into the injury time.
