Manang Marsyangdi Club is finally getting momentum in the A division super league 2069 as it cruished past Machindra Club 3-0 in today's first match played at Dashrath Stadium.But it may prove too little too late at the end of the league as league leaders is marching bravely in their title quest.
MMC took the lead through their skipper Anil Gurung's goal in the 28th minute of the match. MMC was in control most of the time until they finally took the lead. But it took second half of the match before MMC doubled their lead in the 48th minute of the match as Chico scored. Chico is in fine form in recent matches as he showed by grabbing another in the 87th minute of the match for MMC. But MMC at least claimed their position by showing strong response for the title conclusion. Machindra Club tried to threaten occassionally but they were all unconvincing.
MMC coach Chhiring Lopsang claimed that they will not give up and will try their best till last breath. But title dream is very difficult as it's not in their hands. In addition to that he mentioned that his 4-3-3 formation resulted in a superb win as they changed it from normal 4-4-2. Overall he expressed satisfaction in his team's performance.
In the other hand, Machindra Club's coach Raju Shakya mentioned that the second goal was turning point in the match as they had prepared to make comeback in the match. He felt that the second goal mentally weakened his team's morale. He also added that he would try to achieve the best possible finish in the league despite some unconvincing performance. He also mentioned that he was satisfied with the performance of new debutant Serge Yennick.
