Martyr's Memorial Redbull A Division League 2069: Nepal Army registers its first win over Himalayan Sherpa
Nepal Army Club (NAC) registered its first win of the Martyr's Memorial Redbull A Division League 2069 after it beat Himalayan Sherpa Club (HSC) 2-0 in today's first match. NAC was under extreme pressure to win the match as they were winless so far in the tournament.
The match started with a much determined NAC who started attacking early on. Tek Bahadur Budhathoki was present at the right place at right time to slot home opening goal in the 9th minute of the match as NAC gained an advantage early in the match. HSC finally sprung to life after going a goal down but their contined perseverance were unsuccessful. NAC enjoyed fair share of possession but were unable to increase their lead in the first half while HSC sat back and attacked occassionally. The first half of the match finished with NAC leading by 1-0.
The second half of the match started in slow tempo as both teams managed to gain ball possession rather than going offensive. NAC maintained their first half rhythm after sometime while HSC would look to counter attack. HSC tried very hard to get back but were not successful. On the other hand, NAC added their second of the match in the 79th minute of the match to give a comfortable 2-0 lead in the match. NAC held on to their lead as they won the match 2-0 to get their first victory of Martyr's Memorial Redbull A Division League 2069.
