This year's Budha Subba Gold Cup final was between two teams who had never previously managed to lift the title, so it was confirmed beforehand that a new winner was arriving before the final match kick-off. Nepal Army Club and Hongkong Nepal Federation were vying for the final glory of the year 2069.
Nepal Army got a strong start in the final as they took no time in taking the lead. Tek Budhathoki scored an easy goal as Nepalese national striker Bharat Khawas made a brilliant assist. Hongkong Federation tried to get back in the game and they got rewarded in the 18th minute of the match as Kelvin scored a leveller. Jagjeet Shrestha was the architect behind the goal. The first half finished in a draw.
The second half of the match also got Army team starting the match brightly. Their strong pressure got them a reward as they were awarded a penalty in the 56th minute of the match for a foul against Raju Tamang. In stepped Raju Tamang to take the spot kick but Tamang couldn't convert the spot kick. Raju Tamang rued his missed penalty as Honkong Team's Dodoz scored for them in the 79th minute of the match. Hongkong Federation were able to held on the lead as they won the match 2-1.
The award for individual award were all received by Hongkong Federation players.

Budha Subba Gold Cup 2069: HongKong Nepal stuns League Champions Three Star to book a place in the finals.

HongKong Nepalese Football Federation enters the Final of 15th Budha Subba Gold cup beating League Champions Three Star Club in extra time 1 – 0.
In the second semi-final held at the ANFA technical center at Dharan, Hongkong Nepalese football Federation went through to the finals after they saw the Three Star through 1 – 0 after extra time.
In a tight affair in which the game was between the league Champion Three Star and selected A Division player representing Hongkong Federation, the game entered extra-time as the score was goalless in the normal time.
The game seemed to head towards the tense penalties when Dodoz scored in the 100th minute. Dodoz was set up by a neat pass from Jagjeet Shrestha, who was the best player in the field.
HongKong Federation will face Nepal Army in the final of the 15th edition of the ongoing Budha Subba Gold Cup on Saturday 13th April 2013.
Host Dharan Football Club crashes out at the hands of Nepal Army Club
In a packed full house stadium host Dharan FC crashed out after playing a mouth watering tie with A division outfit Nepal Army Club as they lost the match 3-2.
Prakash Budhathoki scored for host Dharan FC in the 16th minute of the match to give delight to home supporter. Dharan FC played superbly but without further success. In the meantime Tek Bahadur Budhathoki pulled back an equalizer in the injury time of the first half. He utilized a superb pass from Bharat Khawas to slot home his and team’s first goal.
Tek Bahadur Budhathoki scored his second to give departmental team lead in the match for the first time in the 61st minute of the match. Raju Tamang provided Budhathoki with a goal scoring chance. Prakash Budhathoki again showed his goal scoring prowess as he pulled back leveller in the 68th minute of the match as home crowd erupted with delight. The normal time of the match finished with 2 goals each for both side.
It took just 2 minutes into the extra time added for Nepal Army Club to take the lead as Bikarna Shrestha registered his name in the score-sheet. The rest of the extra time could not yield any more goal as Nepal Army Club won the match 3-2. Home team’s forward Prakash Budhathoki was adjudged Man of the Match.
